Thankful

This year our Thanksgiving was spent in California, while my family gathered in the midwest, all except one...

My brother Jon lives in Las Vegas so we decided to spend the holiday with him and have our own little cozy get together. Jon flew in on Wednesday and we had plenty of time to relax that evening and the next day. Thursday was completely dedicated to cooking our turkey and sides from scratch (this is a big deal to me haha). It took all day but it was sooo good! I am beyond thankful that my brother traveled to see us, and so grateful for my husband who did a lot of work to make the day simply perfect. Family, good food, and a cozy place to gather, what more could I ask for?

Some other highlights from the weekend were finding our Christmas tree, hot tubbing, hiking at Las Trampas on a gorgeous day, sight seeing in San Francisco, our coffee stop in Pleasanton, watching "home alone", making gf/df pumpkin doughnuts in the oven (amazing), and lounging with our leftover turkey sandwiches.
