It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

This weekend we experienced a true Winter wonderland. Riley booked a hotel in Tahoe for us to see the snow and have a couple of day dates during our favorite season. There is just something about Winter, the peace that snow brings, the silence while it falls, the way the whole world seems to be sleeping under a soft white blanket. There is such a special place in my heart for these experiences. We are both from Michigan and have a real appreciation for this entire season. Witnessing the lights, getting bundled up in our Winter gear, exploring the woods, and warming up with the best cups of coffee and tea you could possibly have.

I am so grateful for this trip, for everything that we saw, including the winter storm, and for my husband. He really does know exactly what makes me happy.
